PodCamp Nashville Video Footage

Posted in Uncategorized by jasonrmoore on March 10, 2009

StudioNow

StudioNow, a Nashville-based video creation and distribution company, has generously offered to allow PodCamp Nashville 2009 to use their services to get our massive amount of video online.

How it works: StudioNow allows for crowdsourcing of video editing and distribution.  This means that we will be uploading all of the raw footage from PCN09 to the cloud making it available for you to cut, edit, and transform it into anything your magical little hands can muster.  Then share it!

Bottom line: WE NEED YOUR HELP!  If you enjoyed PodCamp Nashville 2009 and took away more value than you paid (reminder that it was free), this is a great opportunity to contribute to the Nashville technology community.

If you are interested in helping out, please leave a comment here or send me an email with your contact information by clicking the this Contact Info link.

I guess i’m a little confused. What do you need help with if StudioNow is offered to host our videos? Are they asking for payment? Or do you just need us to provide you video?

Also – I was under the impression that the videos would be available on uStream after the event (on demand) as well as live during it. Are they going to be available in a quick/streaming format as well, or just through StudioNow?

Thanks very much for all your efforts!

    Re: Paul Nicholson

Thanks, Paul. StudioNow will be hosting the raw footage for anyone to download, cut up, and do with whatever they want. The video now is pretty useless to most people. After anyone takes some of the raw footage and does whatever they want to it, they will be able to upload it to any site that they like.

The video will not be available on uStream.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Yeah. So the “help” you are asking for is for people to edit the video and make it useful?

Exactly. None of the core people have much experience in this realm outside of Jamie. He is going to do some, but there is a lot of footage.

All of the raw video will be available for anyone to use. But if people want to step up and package it better, I feel it will be a big boost for the message that is sent by PodCamp Nashville 2009.
